Sierra Select was founded in 1982 by first-president Russ Tatro and sons Michael, Patrick, and John. When Russ retired in 1994, the three sons took over and the business has witnessed substantial growth and success ever since, embracing the founder's strategy for product quality and diversity, combined with a commitment to customer service now legendary in the field.

Sierra Select is headquartered in North Highlands, California, a suburb of Sacramento, and operates multiple warehouses throughout Northern California to best serve its dealers.

The company also operates an award-winning showroom in downtown San Francisco, offering dealers, architects, designers, and consumers the opportunity to directly experience all of the appliance products through live gourmet cooking demonstrations, on-site product training, and interactive displays.

Sierra Select financial and sales personnel are experienced in quality distribution and retail environments. The warehouse staff handles volumes of products efficiently, offering same-day and next-day deliveries to both stocking and non-stocking dealers. All Sierra Select employees are dedicated to quality service and support to the dealer network.
